counting the blessings

• God blessed us with His love, His name, His protection, His perfect and wonderful plan...
• God blessed us with community - sisters and brothers who listen, encourage, challenge...
• God blessed us with the ability to take in his beautiful creation. We can see His majesty reflected in waterfalls, the radiant sun... We can see His power during a torrential downpour...and then His mercy as the darkness and rain subside and nothing but life pours forth.
• God blessed us with the ability to learn - from His Word, from experience, from vicarious experiences...
• God blessed us with the ability to feel. To feel the overpowering effects of love, gratitude, awe/wonder, curiosity... And even the other emotions such as anger, resentment, disappointment....
• hmm along with ^ I've been learning that He blesses us with tangible expressions of His own love through other people's words and actions.
• God blessed us with His very own image. That we may carry His name....and some of His very own characteristics. That we may have creative juices flowing from us, knowing that the most creative and ingenious...is God Himself.
• God blessed us with hope. Even if we have a poopy day, He plants our feet on solid ground and lifts us back up. He allows us to look above.
